For me Hardcore is all about the rush. The economy makes items in hardcore a lot more valuable, but if you don't trade you won't really notice that anyway. I should have kept updating that post, I think I've stupidly killed about 5 hardcore characters since that, including my level 42 Bow-Shadow Totem-exploding-minions build

They've announced that the events will be starting this Friday at 5PM GMT with a one hour solo race. I love that they've gone for a point based in game item prize system.

Well, I guess I'll start with a more durable standard character then, for I don't think I can muster the energy to restart that often.
Hardcore... well, maybe later.

What made me a bit angry yesterday is that while the game still is in the open beta, there already are gold spammers in chat... Well, not gold, of course. But you get what I mean. It will probably get much worse.

To be honest, I've just turned Global Chat off and left it off. I haven't even tried to trade yet. On my to-do list when I start plying again.

To be honest, i turned it off before even reaching lvl 2 on my first character.

You gave the game a good go then at least, considering it takes <3 minutes to do that. Each to their own, if you didn't like it after that much time I'd imagine you wouldn't like games like that in general.

OT, global chat in any game annoys me, I turned it off straight away so I can't really comment. I'm not one to try and watch for good trade deals while I'm exploring (playing HC makes me cautious) but the few times I have traded I've offered my stuff and stated what I'd like and despite it being lost from the page in nanoseconds I always get at least 1-2 offers for lesser stuff, the rare things I've found have always had mad attention.

My smart phone is broken, I've been accessing the site using a Sony Erricson from the early 00's that only has text web while I'm waiting for my replacement, and no it did not show the quote   my apologies!

Anyone up for forming a group of (up to) 6 to participate in one of the party race events?   Could be a real laugh and I've got a Mumble server we could use for communicating and what not.
