As a Brit with a desire for finger food, I have to lament the fact that it's far too much effort to cook BBQ Ribs in this county.

But if you make them right, gods it's worth the time.

oh yeah I forgot to mention... I've been checking out rooms to rent, the place I saw today, this old 30's era mansion. literally a mansion, i'm sure by definition. The guy in the ad said he was an engineer, I turn up and he's acting like a total bro, even while briefly chatting about electronics. Then he showed me the beer pong room. There's a beer pong room. I so hope I get in

Why the hell do you need a room just for beer pong? Oh I guess the kitchen isn't good enough for the Olympic styling of Beer Pong. :cthulhu:

It's 5:30 in the morning, I'm a bit irritable.

Wait, that isn't common? Considering the garage is where people tend to store most heavy duty machines, it sort of makes sense...

:D- I came home and the power for sockets had gone out. There was a bit of panic as I couldn't figure out what was causing it and the switch kept flipping back off. I unplugged things and then after a bit of giving up I remembered reading about moisture so I went to the back where we have a paddle pool that has a pump, unplugged that and VOILA! power is back

that happened to us once when we lived in Bayswater, there was a pond outside and it was raining and that shorted out the filter pump.

I just checked on her. She's gone. She won't be suffering anymore.

Sorry man, I know your feel. *internet bro-hugs*

To say that your heartfelt moral judgement of a human being as an inferior form is valid and that another's is not is hypocrisy.

I, too, know this feel.  I'm so sorry for your loss. :(

It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll. I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.

I remember every time I've ever lost a cat or dog. It's never easy. It sucks. But it's better that they aren't suffering anymore.

It's hard for humans to deal with pet loss. They're only around for a part of our lives but that time is significant to us. But we are around for all of their lives. So be happy that your presence made their existence just that much better and that much easier than it would have otherwise been.

Losing a pet sucks, but it hurts because you know how much you meant to them and how much they meant to you. So hang on to the good memories. They're the most important part of life.

She was fine yesterday, but when I woke up today she was laying on the floor frothing at the mouth and convulsing occasionally. I had absolutely no idea it was coming. She fought while we were around. She died alone. It looks like she had a massive convulsion and then died. Her face was pressed against a bar and she wasn't in the spot she'd been laying in for hours in pain. I just wish I had some sort of idea it was coming.
